Clippers Bang Out 8-2 Win Versus Ocean City
The Columbus Clippers beat the Ocean City Blue Crabs, 8-2, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Riccardo Ingram, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Losses have been few and far between for the Blue Crabs so far this season. Their record drops to 10-5.

The outcome might have been different for Columbus, had it not been for Gabe Kapler, the 22-year old center fielder . Kapler stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put Columbus up, 4-1. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 2 doubles and 1 single.

"We'll savor this win," Ingram told the Columbus Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
