River Rats Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Tacoma
|
Spokane starter Scott Eyre had a strong outing against the Tacoma Rainiers at Foxes Ballpark. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-4 win. Eyre picked up the win for Spokane, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Mike Magnante sewed up the save, his 3rd.
Spokane right fielder Junior Felix went deep in the bottom of the sixth. His grand slam home run off Tacoma pitcher Amaury Telemaco put the River Rats in front, 6-2. It was his 3rd home run of the season.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Eyre told the Spokane Chronicle.
The loss lowers the Tacoma record to 10-7.
