Sky Sox Beat Rainiers in 10

The Tacoma Rainiers got a superb performance from first baseman Brian Lesher. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Colorado Springs. The Sky Sox won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Lesher was named the player of the game. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reliever Curtis King picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Jeff Kubenka took the loss. Colorado Springs is now 28-29, Tacoma 26-31.
Dmitri Young's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Mike Schooler for a run-scoring single. It put Colorado Springs in front, 5-4.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Young said.
