The Kansas City Royals ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-3 to win the World Series.
Kansas City won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 6th time.
"We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Kansas City manager Daniel Drucker. "It's a great feeling."
The champs finished the regular season 99-63 and claimed first place in the Federal League Central Division.
In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and right fielder Jeromy Burnitz said the Royals have "great fans and they deserve this."
"I am so happy for our city right now," he said.
