Baltimore Trades Avery for Montreal's Nabholz Monday, December 29th, 1997 The Baltimore Orioles swapped 27-year-old LHP Steve Avery and 24-year-old LF Johnny Damon for 30-year-old LHP Chris Nabholz, 33-year-old minor league 2B Jeff King and 27-year-old minor league C Doug Mirabelli of the Expos after what Montreal officials would only characterize as "difficult" negotiations.
