Charlotte Knights Ship Bautista to Cleveland Monday, December 29th, 1997 After a week of negotiations, the Knights and Spiders have come to terms on a deal that will send 25-year-old minor league LF Danny Bautista and 24-year-old minor league RHP Dario Veras to Cleveland for 33-year-old RHP Bret Saberhagen. Lifetime Bautista is hitting .220 with 44 doubles, 7 triples, 35 home runs, 123 RBIs and 115 runs scored. He has appeared in 312 games to date and delivered 248 hits. Saberhagen has a lifetime ERA of 4.43 with a record of 192 wins and 179 losses. |
