Arizona-Charlotte Trade: Miller for Gonzalez Monday, December 29th, 1997 The Arizona Diamondbacks have finalized a deal that will send 28-year-old minor league 2B Orlando Miller and 30-year-old minor league 2B Mike Mordecai to Charlotte for 30-year-old minor league 1B Luis Gonzalez. Minor details still need to be worked out before the trade becomes official, but the players involved are expected to be with their new clubs soon. Looking at his career numbers, Miller has played in 218 games with a .247 batting average. Among his 166 hits are 31 doubles, 5 triples and 19 home runs. He also has scored 71 runs and driven in 88 runs. As far as career numbers Gonzalez has compiled a .260 batting average and collected 1024 hits, 174 home runs and 574 RBIs. |
