Daniels Leads Twins to Win over Royals
The Minnesota Twins dealt the Kansas City Royals a loss at Metrodome. The final score was 11-7. Kal Daniels was named player of the game for Minnesota. In addition to his 1 single and 2 triples, he scored 4 runs and drove in 2. The 5th-place Twins improved to 42-49.

The Twins beat the Royals with some clutch hitting. The home run by Frank Thomas in the bottom of the fifth is a good example. With two down, Thomas gave his team the lead, 5-4, when he came through with the big hit.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Minnesota skipper Darren Fischbach.
