Everett Excels, Charlotte Blows Out Florida
The Charlotte Knights thumped the Florida Marlins, 13-2, at Comiskey Park. Carl Everett was a big reason his team got the win. Everett slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Knights own a robust 64-37 mark.

Everett had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the first, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Knights went on to win.

Everett said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
