Charlotte Get 5-0 Win Behind Lefty Bankhead
Charlotte played host to Florida at the friendly confines of Comiskey Park.

Charlotte starter Scott Bankhead put a stranglehold on the Florida offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Knights to a 5-0 win. Charlotte leads the Federal League Central Division by 2½ games.

Bankhead gave Charlotte a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7.2 innings.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Bankhead said after the game.
