Royals Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
Starting pitcher Bobby J. Jones pitched well enough to help the Kansas City Royals beat the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 8-3. Kevin Rogers was credited with the save for Kansas City, his 1st of the season. Philadelphia now has a 5-game losing streak.

The Royals beat the Phillies with some clutch hitting. The double by Scott Rolen in the bottom of the fourth is a good example. With two down, Rolen gave his team the lead, 4-2, when he came through with the big hit.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Kansas City manager Daniel Drucker.
