Angels Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Senators
The Las Vegas Angels trumped the Washington Senators, 6-3, at Kingdome. Las Vegas shortstop Rich Aurilia was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Rolando Arrojo earned the win to go to 10-6. He allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Las Vegas has now won 3 in a row.

One significant plate appearance for Las Vegas came with no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. Angels right fielder Jermaine Dye hit a single, which helped Las Vegas go on to win.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Dye told the Las Vegas Today. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
