Angels Sneak Past Rockies, 7-6
The inspired effort of Colorado center fielder Brian Jordan was not enough to prevent a 7-6 loss to the Las Vegas Angels. Jordan went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Jeff Wallace picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Bruce Ruffin was tagged with the loss. Las Vegas is now 57-55, Colorado 57-53.

Jermaine Dye was the walk-off hero for Las Vegas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Angels designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

Dye described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
