Twins Hope Wins Keep Coming
The Minnesota Twins coasted to a win over the St. Louis Cardinals, 10-3. Frank Thomas had a good day at the plate for Minnesota. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Juan Guzman, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings. Rob Dibble recorded the save for Minnesota, his 1st of the season.

Larry Walker, who finished 2nd in the FL in OPS with .948 in 1992, helped out the Minnesota cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the right fielder went 1-3 with a triple and a walk.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Thomas.

Minnesota, now 4-7, is off to a slow start.
