Gant goes 3-for-4 to Power Devil Rays Offense
The Orlando Devil Rays handed the Cincinnati Reds a loss at Riverfront Stadium. The final score was 7-1. Ron Gant was named player of the game for Orlando. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Orlando is now 61-53, Cincinnati 63-49.

The Devil Rays beat the Reds with some clutch hitting. The double by Orlando Merced in the top of the first is a good example. With two down, Merced gave his team the lead, 1-0, when he came through with the big hit.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Cincinnati manager John Frey.
