Phillies Beat Visiting Cubs, 8-1
Philadelphia played host to Chicago at the friendly confines of Yankee Stadium.

The Chicago Cubs went down to defeat to Glendon Rusch and his Philadelphia teammates. The final score was 8-1 in favor of the Phillies. The 4th-place Phillies have won 8 in a row.

The Phillies beat the Cubs with some clutch hitting. The home run by Derrek Lee in the bottom of the third is a good example. With two down, Lee gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Lee, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
