Victory Pushes Creams Record to 59-57
The Cleveland Spiders went down to defeat to Kelly Downs and his Milwaukee teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Creams. Steve Bedrosian got the save, his 12th in 12 chances. Milwaukee has a 3-game win streak, while Cleveland has lost 6 in a row.

Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Carlos Delgado to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Creams ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Downs told a Milwaukee Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
