Senators Beat Visiting Blue Jays, 6-3
|
Starting pitcher Kevin Millwood pitched well enough to help the Washington Senators beat the Toronto Blue Jays by the score of 6-3. Millwood picked up the win for Washington, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 11-6. Toronto has now lost 4 in a row.
The Senators beat the Blue Jays with some clutch hitting. The double by Shane Mack in the bottom of the fourth is a good example. With two down, Mack gave his team the lead, 5-2, when he came through with the big hit.
Millwood called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
