Multi-HR Day for Knoblauch as Knights Overpower Spiders, 13-3
Benefiting from Chuck Knoblauch's productive game, the Charlotte Knights downed the Cleveland Spiders, 13-3. Knoblauch was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4 for the Knights. Charlotte starter Scott Bankhead was credited with the win after throwing 105 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 19-3. Bret Saberhagen earned his 4th save in 5 chances.

Knoblauch contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Charlotte in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Knoblauch took a fastball from Ken Cloude and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Knights to leap in front, 2-1.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Knoblauch.

The Knights own a robust 83-44 mark.
