Rockies Clip Tigers, 3-2
Colorado played host to Detroit at the friendly confines of Mile High Stadium.

The Colorado Rockies got a stellar effort from pitcher Chris Nabholz, helping Colorado score a 3-2 win over the visiting Detroit Tigers. Nabholz picked up the win for Colorado, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 16-7. Mariano Rivera notched his 4th save in 5 chances.

Had Damion Easley not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases empty, Easley hit a solo home run. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rockies.

"I was a little disappointed," said Detroit manager Julio Izquierdo. "We could've and should've scored more runs."

The Rockies bumped their record to 69-63 with this latest triumph.
