The Columbus Clippers picked up a win at Mules Ballpark, knocking off the Savannah Swamp Foxes, 4-2. On the mound for Columbus was right-hander Bill Wegman, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Clippers keep rolling, raising their record to 3-0.

Travis Lee, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1997 draft, came through for Columbus with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 1 RBI.
