Otters Bang Out 6-5 Win Versus Brooklyn
Milwaukee and Brooklyn duked it out at Stags Ballpark and the Otters came out victorious.

The Milwaukee Otters beat the Brooklyn Cyclones, 6-5 at Stags Ballpark, in part due to third baseman Russ Johnson, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Ben McDonald in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Marc Pisciotta took the loss. Todd Ritchie picked up the save, his 2nd.

Michael Barrett hit a 2-run triple off Marc Pisciotta in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Otters in front, 5-4. Barrett had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.

"We'll savor this win," Johnson told the Milwaukee Herald, "then get ready for the next game."

The Otters, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.
