Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Red Wings
Aramis Ramirez made an impact in the 6-5 Rochester win over Asheville. Ramirez, the 18th overall pick in the 1997 draft, was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. The Red Wings, with just their 1st win so far in 1998, have yet to catch fire.

Ramirez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 13th. On a full count fastball from Brian Meadows, he banged a solo home run to center, giving the Red Wings a 6-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Ramirez.
