Dodgers Prevail, 5-3, Over Las Vegas
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Jason Varitek, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Las Vegas Angels, 5-3. Varitek was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Dodgers. Scott Radinsky recorded his 1st save for Los Angeles. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Dodgers hope to make a postseason run.
Varitek had a critical at-bat in the bottom of the third for Los Angeles, coming through with a 2-run home run to put Los Angeles in front, 3-2.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Varitek said.
