Cyclones Bang Out 12-9 Win Versus Rochester
Rochester center fielder Kerwin Moore had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Moore went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3, even as Brooklyn beat the Red Wings, 12-9. Moore was named the player of the game despite the loss. The losing streak for Rochester has now reached 4 games.

Brian Simmons made an early impact for Brooklyn when he stroked his 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came with two out in the top of the second, put the Cyclones on top, 4-2.

Cyclones manager wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
