The Rochester Red Wings extended their losing streak with a loss to the Asheville Moonshiners.

The Asheville Moonshiners topped the Rochester Red Wings by the score of 21-1, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Yamil Benitez. Benitez was 2-6 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Moonshiners. The Moonshiners, at 19-22, have now won 6 straight.

Aaron Boone put Asheville in front, 8-0, when he took Mike Buddie downtown. His grand slam home run came with one out in the bottom of the third. It was his 8th home run of the season.
