Red Wings Continue Skid Thanks to Stairs, Bisons
The Buffalo Bisons defeated the Rochester Red Wings, 20-4, at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Buffalo left fielder Matt Stairs was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4-6 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 5. Buffalo reliever Felix Heredia picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-2. Dale Polley was collared with the loss. The Red Wings, now 10-37, have lost 5 in a row.

Buffalo used the clutch hitting of Deion Sanders to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to give the Bisons the lead, 7-2. For the game, Sanders had 1 single and 1 double in 2 at-bats.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sanders. "And not try to do too much."
