Moonshiners Drop Another One
|
The Bluff City Beasties thumped the Asheville Moonshiners, 8-2, at Ravens Ballpark. Jeff Treadway was a big reason his team got the win. Treadway went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bluff City reliever Marty Janzen got the win, raising his record to 4-1. Ken Cloude was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Jose RF Santiago, his 1st.
Had Felix Jose not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jose hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Beasties.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Asheville manager .
Bluff City has now won 4 straight.
