Moonshiners Take Tight Tilt
The Asheville Moonshiners eked out a 4-3 win versus the Danville Dairy Daddies at Torrance Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Matt Beech, who captured player of the game honors. Jeff Juden nailed down his 8th save. At 22-29, the Moonshiners are currently last in the Atlantic Southeast.

In the bottom of the seventh, Asheville right fielder Yamil Benitez had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out, Benitez stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 4-1, Asheville. For the game, he went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Beech.
