The Asheville Moonshiners got a superb performance from right fielder Yamil Benitez, but the Danville Dairy Daddies still won the game, 9-5. Benitez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Danville goes to 33-19. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.

Danville used the clutch hitting of Javier Valentin to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to give the Dairy Daddies the lead, 2-0. For the game, Valentin had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
