Spiders Lose, 9-5, at Busch Stadium
The St. Louis Cardinals downed the Cleveland Spiders, 9-5, at Busch Stadium. Jorge Posada led the way, going 1-for-3 for St. Louis. The Spiders, now 4-12, continue their poor start.

Posada had a critical at-bat in the bottom of the first for St. Louis, coming through with a grand slam home run to put St. Louis in front, 5-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Posada told the St. Louis Daily News.
