The Milwaukee Otters got a strong performance from pitcher Esteban Loaiza, who stymied the Asheville offense en route to a 9-1 win at Torrance Grounds. Milwaukee is now 37-19, 5½ games up in the Atlantic Northeast.

With no one out in the top of the second, Michael Barrett stroked a go-ahead solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put Milwaukee in front, 1-0.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Barrett. "And not try to do too much."
