Creams Snatch 1-0 Win
|
Milwaukee County Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Creams.
The Milwaukee Creams got a strong performance from pitcher Wally Whitehurst, who stymied the Boston offense en route to a 1-0 win at Milwaukee County Stadium. The win brings the Creams to 8-10, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Carlos Delgado had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the first for Milwaukee. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Milwaukee in front, 1-0.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Boston manager Brett Williams, "let me know."
