The Hartford Whalers dealt the Asheville Moonshiners a 5-3 loss at Torrance Grounds. Robert Fick was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Hartford reliever Paul Wilson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Everett Stull absorbed the loss. The wins continue to add up for Hartford, with the latest making it 9 in a row.
