Cyclones Win at Savannah, 7-6
|
Edgard Clemente had a good game, but he could not keep the Savannah Swamp Foxes from falling, 7-6, to the Brooklyn Cyclones at Paradise Grounds. The Savannah designated hitter was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. The win puts the Cyclones at 34-48, while the Swamp Foxes drop to 42-40.
The outcome might have been different for Brooklyn, had it not been for Jed Hansen, the 25-year old second baseman . Hansen stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Brooklyn up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Hansen, "but we got it done."
