Clippers Beat Visiting Red Wings, 8-4
|
Rochester third baseman Aramis Ramirez had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ramirez went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Columbus beat the Red Wings, 8-4. Ramirez was named the player of the game despite the loss. The Red Wings have now dropped 5 straight.
Carter Haney drew 1 walk for Columbus. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Brad Woodall. It was his 28th walk of the season.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager said.
