Columbus Clippers starter Brian Moehler was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Hartford Whalers, 5-0. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Columbus.

Columbus used the clutch hitting of Tim Hyers to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Clippers ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
