Otters Snatch 2-1 Win
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Asheville Moonshiners.
Getting an impressive start from Russ Ortiz, Milwaukee beat Asheville by the score of 2-1. Ortiz got the win, improving to 9-4. He allowed 6 hits and walked 4 over 6 innings. Ortiz allowed 1 earned run. Todd Ritchie earned his 22nd save in 27 chances.
Tony Graffanino drove in one run for Milwaukee. The 26-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Julio Santana. It was his 32nd RBI of the season.
"We found a way to get it done," Graffanino said.
Asheville is in the throes of a 13-game skid.
