Moonshiners Continue Skid Thanks to Jones, Swamp Foxes
Savannah left fielder Ron Jones was a significant contributor in his team's 10-4 triumph over the Asheville Moonshiners. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for Savannah. Shane Reynolds picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 8-8. Valerio de los Santos converted his 4th save in 4 tries.

Danny Klassen had a big 2-run single for the Swamp Foxes in the top of the sixth inning. With Savannah leading 5-4 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Rafael Medina and stroked the single to center. It was his 15th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Swamp Foxes ahead, 7-4.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Klassen said.

The slumping Moonshiners have lost 16 straight.
