Loss Extends Rochester Losing Streak

Tim Hyers had a hand in Columbus defeating Rochester by the score of 8-2. Hyers went 3 for 5 at the plate, scoring 1 times and driving in 3 runs. Jamey Wright was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. The losses continue to mount for Rochester, which has now dropped 36 in a row.
There was more than one reason the Clippers beat the Red Wings, but Hyers's big at-bat in the top of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-2 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
