Orlando Devil Rays starter Alan Benes pitched a strong game against the Milwaukee Creams at Milwaukee County Stadium, leading the Devil Rays to a 5-2 win. The Creams fall to 8-13 and continue their lackluster start in 1998.

It could have been a different outcome for Orlando, had it not been for Jose Oquendo, the 13-year veteran . Oquendo contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Orlando up, 2-0.

"We did enough to win," said Oquendo.
