The New Orleans Brass got a stellar performance from pitcher Steve Cooke, who handcuffed the San Antonio offense en route to a 7-2 win at Bay Hawks Ballpark. Losses have been few and far between for the Missions so far this season. Their record drops to 6-3.

New Orleans left fielder Ruben Sierra delivered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. Overall, he went 3 for 5, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
