Alleycats Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Naperville Lazy Fisherman and Idaho Falls Chukars.
The Idaho Falls Chukars trumped the Naperville Lazy Fisherman, 5-3, at Alleycats Ballpark. Idaho Falls second baseman Greg Litton was named player of the game for his performance. He was 4-4 with a triple and 3 singles. Dean Crow, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Lazy Fisherman to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Jeff Schwarz earned the save, his 1st.
Idaho Falls first baseman Dave Martinez helped the Chukars to the win. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the top prospect stroked a 3-run home run. For the game, Martinez went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
Martinez called the triumph "a good team win."
Idaho Falls, now 6-9, is off to a slow start.
