Sierra Goes Wild, But Buzz Win
The New Orleans Brass got a sterling performance from left fielder Ruben Sierra, but the Buzz still prevailed, 5-4. Sierra was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Bob Howry earned the save for Salt Lake City, his 4th of the year. Salt Lake City is now 11-9.

Dave Staton contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped send Salt Lake City to the win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Salt Lake City manager .
