Premont Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Omaha Storm Chasers and Tacoma Rainiers.

Starting pitcher Ryan Dempster pitched well enough to help the Tacoma Rainiers beat the Omaha Storm Chasers by the score of 5-3. Dempster, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk.

The Rainiers got a big at-bat from catcher Bobby Hughes. For the game, Hughes went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 18th hit of the season gave Tacoma a 3-2 lead.
