The Naperville Lazy Fisherman topped the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 7-2, in Pacific action at Ballpark of Milton. The player of the game was Naperville pitcher and Osaka, Japan native Masato Yoshii. Naperville has an impressive 18-9 record.
Pedro Munoz had a big run-scoring single for the Lazy Fisherman in the bottom of the second inning. With Naperville leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Jesus Sanchez and stroked the single to center. It was his 31st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lazy Fisherman ahead, 2-0.
Munoz said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
