Lazy Fisherman Roll Over Sky Sox, 13-4
|
Naperville shortstop Pokey Reese was instrumental in his team's 13-4 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Reese, who is rated as the 39th best prospect by BNN, went 3-6 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Lazy Fisherman. Naperville reliever Dennys Reyes was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Bob Wolcott took the loss. The save went to Shigetoshi Hasegawa, his 1st this season.
Fernando Seguignol, who is tied for 3rd in the PAC with a .598 slugging percentage, contributed to the Naperville win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the center fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Reese told the Naperville Daily.
The Lazy Fisherman have an impressive 19-9 record.
