Chukars Get Road Win, 7-5
|
Chukars catcher Marcus Jensen put his stamp on his team's 7-5 win over the San Antonio Missions. Jensen was 3-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Idaho Falls in the contest. Rich Hunter picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 1-5. The save went to Steve Falteisek, his 1st this season.
Jensen had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 fastball from Vince Horsman, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Chukars a 5-4 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Jensen.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Idaho Falls manager .
The Chukars, now 11-16, know that wins in April count the same as wins in September.
