New Orleans and Omaha duked it out at Maples Stadium and the Brass came out victorious.
Eric Chavez helped his team muscle past the Omaha Storm Chasers, 6-4. In the game, the New Orleans third baseman was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Brass, at 22-13, lead by one game in their division.
Chavez had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Jay Witasick, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Brass a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Chavez.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Chavez told the New Orleans Daily News.
