Lazy Fisherman Raise Rally Flag, Beat Tucson, 4-1

The Tucson Tarantulas got a superb performance from pitcher Kevin Tapani. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Naperville. The Lazy Fisherman won the game, 4-1. In spite of the loss, Tapani was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings allowing 2 runs. The winner was Naperville reliever Shigetoshi Hasegawa, now 2-0. The loser was Kevin Tapani. The Lazy Fisherman move to 23-15 with the win, while the Tarantulas drop to 18-20.
Naperville used the timely hitting of Fernando Seguignol to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lazy Fisherman on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
Seguignol attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
